Students will submit their chosen site that best describes their brief as proposed in Assignment No 2. Of course further development on the brief would be required at a later stage. This assignment is a development whereby the student will be acquainted to site properties, orientation, plot usage and coverage, existing constraints, mitigation factors, sustainability, water efficiency, energy, materials and resources and existing environment characteristics, in order to develop their master plan further to a sustainable development.

Now its time to be more realistic with regards to your site and brief. Eg % of zoning and density of development, no of buildings heights size , parking, etc...
ReplyDeleteNOTE: Please ensure that your brief is well defined and your methodology is clear and concise, bearing in mind that you should be able to a BOQ at a later stage. Ideas are great and putting it in practice is marvellous.

ReplyDeleteSir, in assignment no.2 ( Building your city ) I have already given some data that are meant for assignment no.3.. like I have mentioned about orientation, traffic management, etc..

This is the time for your to choose your site where later it wont be possible. The way you present your site with your brief should be sustainble. make sure all details are relevant to the site context

ReplyDeleteGroup Work: Students may join up a group to share ideas and speed up in their research work. However individual assignment is required. Research material will be useful for furher development of assignments in line with your brief

ReplyDeleteAs from Assignment No 3 you will not be able to make further amendments to the site. Your layout may be improved as long we proceed in the module. Now if you wish to change your site at a later stage, it may complicate matters and your deadline for assignments may be breached.
